Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft arrives at India's spaceport in preparation for July launch

The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft has arrived at India's spaceport in preparation for its launch in July.

The spacecraft, which is designed to land on the moon, was transported to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on a special truck. It was then placed in the Vehicle Assembly Building, where it will undergo final preparations for launch.

Chandrayaan-3 is India's third mission to the moon. The first mission, Chandrayaan-1, was launched in 2008. It orbited the moon and sent back a wealth of data and images. The second mission, Chandrayaan-2, was launched in 2019. It also orbited the moon and attempted to land a rover on the surface. However, the landing was unsuccessful.

Chandrayaan-3 is expected to launch on July 2. It will carry a lander and a rover to the moon. The lander will touch down on the moon's surface, while the rover will explore the lunar surface.

The mission is expected to cost around $1.4 billion. It is being funded by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

ISRO chairman K. Sivan said that Chandrayaan-3 is a "key milestone" in India's space program. He said that the mission will help India to "further its understanding of the moon."

Sivan also said that Chandrayaan-3 is a "testament" to India's "growing capabilities" in space. He said that the mission will help India to "achieve its goals of becoming a space superpower."

Chandrayaan-3 is a significant mission for India. It is the country's first attempt to land on the moon since Chandrayaan-2. The mission is also a test of India's growing capabilities in space. If successful, Chandrayaan-3 will help India to achieve its goals of becoming a space superpower.
