Warangal, Telangana - In a significant move ahead of the upcoming state elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Warangal on Saturday morning and unveiled development initiatives worth Rs 6,100 crore. Addressing a public meeting in the region, the Prime Minister launched a scathing attack on the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS)-led state government and its Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, popularly known as KCR. Modi accused the government of prioritizing the interests of their own family over the development of the state and urged the people of Telangana to be cautious of dynasty politics and corruption.
During his speech, PM Modi warned the public against the deceptive tactics of the BRS and Congress parties. He labeled the KCR government as the "most corrupt government" and claimed that their corruption had spread to Delhi as well. The Prime Minister criticized the ruling party for engaging in rebuking the central government and indulging in dynasty politics, instead of fulfilling their promises to the people. Modi emphasized that when the BJP-led Centre makes a promise, it ensures its fulfillment.
The visit to Warangal not only saw Prime Minister Modi's scathing remarks on the state government but also witnessed the laying of foundation stones for various infrastructure development projects. Among these projects is a railway wagon manufacturing unit, which will be developed at a cost of over Rs 500 crore. The modern manufacturing unit is expected to enhance wagon manufacturing capacity and stimulate employment generation. Additionally, it will foster the development of ancillary units in the nearby areas, contributing to the overall growth of the region.
Prior to the public meeting, Narendra Modi paid homage to the famous Goddess Bhadrakali temple, showcasing his respect for the historical significance of Warangal, which was once the capital of the Kakatiya kingdom.
Telangana, which is scheduled to go to polls by the end of this year, is witnessing increasing political heat as various parties gear up for the upcoming elections. With Prime Minister Modi's visit to Warangal and his vocal criticism of the state government, the political landscape in Telangana is likely to witness further intensification in the coming months.
As the race for power escalates, it remains to be seen how the electorate of Telangana responds to the Prime Minister's accusations and whether the development initiatives launched during his visit will sway the public sentiment in the upcoming elections.
