Mahbubnagar, Telangana - Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant visit to poll-bound Telangana on Sunday, where he laid the foundation stones for multiple developmental projects with a total worth exceeding Rs 13,500 crore. This visit comes at a crucial time as the state gears up for upcoming elections, with the Prime Minister addressing the pressing issues facing the people of Telangana.

The ambitious projects encompass various sectors, including roads, connectivity, energy, railways, and more, promising a brighter future for the residents of the state.

In his address during the visit, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the transformative impact these projects will have on the lives of the people of Telangana. He noted that the projects are designed to improve infrastructure, boost connectivity, and enhance the overall quality of life in the state.

"While announcing his visit to the state, the Prime Minister expressed that the people of Telangana have grown tired of the lackluster governance under the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and harbor equal distrust towards the Congress. Prime Minister Modi alleged that both the BRS and Congress are dynastic parties with no real commitment to serving the people," stated the Prime Minister's Office.

Addressing this during his visit, Prime Minister Modi said, "I will be addressing a Telangana rally in Mahbubnagar tomorrow, October 1. The people of Telangana are tired of the lackluster governance of BRS. They are equally distrustful of Congress."

Interestingly, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) did not attend the Prime Minister's program, instead delegating the responsibility to BRS Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.

One of the flagship projects unveiled by Prime Minister Modi is the Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor, which includes the construction of a 108 km long four-lane access-controlled greenfield highway from Warangal to Khammam section of NH-163G and a 90 km-long four-lane access-controlled greenfield highway from Khammam to Vijayawada section of NH-163G. These road projects, estimated to cost about Rs 6,400 crore, hold the promise of transforming transportation in the region.

Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the four-laning of a 59 km long Suryapet to Khammam section of NH-365BB, a crucial segment of the Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam Corridor developed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, at a cost of about Rs. 2,460 crore.

The railway infrastructure in Telangana also received a boost, with the inauguration of a 37 km Jaklair–Krishna New Railway Line, a vital addition that brings previously underserved areas of Narayanpet onto the railway map. This new rail line comes with a budget of more than Rs 500 crore.

Prime Minister Modi also flagged off the Hyderabad (Kacheguda)-Raichur-Hyderabad (Kacheguda) train service from Krishna station via video conferencing. This service will establish a vital rail link between Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet districts in Telangana, and Raichur district in Karnataka, further enhancing regional connectivity.

In addition to these infrastructure projects, the Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the 'Hassan-Cherlapalli LPG Pipeline Project,' constructed at a cost of about Rs 2,170 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for the 'Multi-Product Petroleum Pipeline of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) from Krishnapatnam to Hyderabad (Malkapur),' showcasing the government's commitment to expanding energy infrastructure.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister inaugurated five new buildings at Hyderabad University, which include the School of Economics, School of Mathematics & Statistics, School of Management Studies, Lecture Hall Complex – III, and Sarojini Naidu School of Arts & Communication (Annexe). These educational facilities aim to provide students with state-of-the-art resources and infrastructure to nurture their academic pursuits.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Telangana and the unveiling of these ambitious projects signal a renewed focus on the development and progress of the state. As the political landscape in Telangana heats up, these initiatives may play a pivotal role in shaping the choices of the electorate in the upcoming elections.
